ITS ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT CHOICE

The political ride of our country is getting higher and higher with more and more presidential aspirants roaming around and promising heaven and earth some even almost promising salary every month for those jobless people especially the youth who have been the target and who hold the future of kenya in their/our hands.

But as much as it seems everybody has their favourite/ specific candidate or everyone is voting for so and so just. We as young people should take time to analyze and make the right decision, the right decision comes from making a change and this change is reflected on the kind of people we choose and the right people cannot be the same people because three or four years to come we are still having the same issues such as youth unemployment, poverty and corruption.

I believe that at one point of life change is vital, change is something that springs you into a new board of life that you wouldn't have experienced if you wouldn't have made a choice. This is such that we urge young people to make a difference by accepting something new to the table not going through the same cycle, with the same people and having the same issues through the years, we call for change and change is all about accepting new leaders, the kind of leaders that we feel fit this country because I believe that there are many amazing people out there who if given a chance they can make a whole lot of change.

As young people we should not take anything for granted, we hold the future of this country, through our decisions we are creating a road for our children, children's children and a generation that we have the power to break or make and this has to start with a choice, this choices should not be based on the ''now time but how its going to be the next years to come and the kind of country we want to live in, a secure country, where jobs don't come on who you know but come on with what you have/skills, not the money, and so on and so on.

And it all starts with individual decision to make this country and individual priority not for selfish desires but for the development and gain of this country for the benefit of not one person, two or three but for all people. More action less talk, actions only tell what one is thinking and our leaders actions are reflected on what they are thinking.

THOSE DAYS

Life is full of misery, joy, disappointments, hurts, tears of joy, tears of sadness and so forth. but also there are mood swings, those days when you dont feel like, the days when everything seems to be going wrong, when everyone is disappointing you, when you only think about the negative things that have happened to you, when you only feel hatred and anger to people who have been mean to you, when you dont feel like getting out of bed though you know you have a responsibility to attend to, when you want to be alone doing nothing and thinking about ''why me? 'when' and how, when you feel like bursting because you are mad for nothing, when you are so weak to get up on the inside and move on, when your expectations fail and all that you heard simply disappears in the air, its simply those days. remind yourself that it is just one of those days and it happens to each one of us. so when your day comes be prepared. have a terrible day

''who ''who am i?''

I step up in this room filled with all kinds of talented and vigorous, rigorous, up to the feet and moving people with tags of their names on it. as i sit down to be interviewed with a rectangular hard paper pinned in my sweater which is supposed to be my 'name tag'. and the first question the interviewer asks is ''who are you?'' i try to look at him hard enough to thinking to myself, does this gentlemen not see my name pinned in my sweater''. obviously as i force myself to utter my words. i am so and so. but he still looks at me and is like ''really are you getting what i am saying?''. i didnt ask for your identity i asked for your adequatey, what represents you as if you never had a name?. oooh!!! thats a tough question, who am i? who are you? leave alone the name and career tags that constantly overload us and are similar to a thousand people involved with the specific career or name. a personal examination and honest evaluation will make one stand out from the crowd without having to constantly fight to get notice. this is the ability and the spontaneous gifted piece of uniqueness that is inside one without being forced out but one that constantly develops and warmly grows to the benefit of the one that is attached to it. that light and excellent ability is what makes u and i who we are. it may be that unique way of leading, serving, blogging, researching, editing, counseling that is quite different from the other person but equally better with the other person. best to your ability. thats who you are. that sense of belonging and sense of giving that excites you when you do. that precious value of service.

Women, power, in the eyes of Nancy Baraza

Nancy Baraza's play and watch me case that has raised alarms of the credibility of women and power has left me and many to question the sense of a woman in handling power, fame. but i will look at this question in two different approaches. 1. there are definately amazing women out there who have had it all and lived as if it was just like it wasn't there, instead they have chose to use what they abundantly have to produce a positive outcome on the lives of those reflected by their super duper excellent substance. 2. they are also this type two woman whose power, fame may have been a toxic one in that they needed a certain liberty to prove themselves right. '' i definitely know men also mess up but here, i am on the woman ''feminine agenda''. have seen women that have dropped from divas to deceivers, leaders to lead us(me) concept without actually knowing it. but in the case of Nancy baraza, this isn't the first time for her to hold a leadership position, maybe first in terms of highest ranking but all her life she has had to make decisions that affect people regarding her status as a ''judge'' but also as a woman involving her personal/family life, she has definitely done that and i believe she has given her best in all. i just believe that sometimes we are so out of average with our selves that we forget there are times we need to put back that button of level and humility to conquer the small weeds that will always and all through grow. in that what conspired between her and her fate that probably enlightened some of the bones in her darkest closet and what might and will maybe ''will'' change her career for all time. am i trying to be rude here, definately not, was her position as a leader rightfully used or it was part of the system ''i am not like you'' or was she rudely given that she felt it was out of control. i don't know, i don't know and i am definitely not judging her.  i just believe that one moment of awkwardness doesn't reflect her thousand days of characters or near women and how they handle positions and leadership.

ANCHOR OF FORGIVENESS

I recently watched a very sad and moving video of a man's journey to true love, forgiveness and family value. it does really take God to forgive and sometimes he lets us go through some pale situations just to make us better when we heed to his will and word. FORGIVENESS!! FORGIVENESS!!

A VIRTOUS WOMAN

I read the story of abigael in the bible and i kept thinking about what a woman? what an amazing and an intelligent full of a woman there and many other women of God in the bible like Esther, Hannah, Naomi and so many of them. After Nabal Abigail's husband insulted the king Abigail knew she had to take charge or else her family would be destroyed, she could have ran away if she wanted, she could have insulted the husband or even killed him, But she knew that she had to do something, to stand for the Gap and to take the mess, i do salute Her. she quickly packs some food for the king and his army as it is in 1st samuel 25:18 on through to verse 23, where she met the king David and threw herself down his feet, she had to take it upon herself and didnt care whatever was going to happen. so who is a virtous woman?

A WOMAN OF VIRTUE

1. A woman who honours God- the bible talks about beauty and God, it says Beauty comes to an end but a woman who honours the lord should be praised- Proverbs 31:30, other versions say that ''charm is deceptive and beauty disappears but a woman of God should be praised. women we need to honour God, we need to stand up for God and declare ''WOMEN FOR JESUS''

2. A Woman who stands up for others- With these i do not need to go far, because we have multiple examples and a good example being Abigael who had to come down for the sake of the ''pig-headed husband as its written in the bible, Esther who stood up for the sake of the israelites in the hardest time of their lives when they were facing persecution.


3. A hard working woman- This i do not need to explain, it is all wrapped up in Proverbs 31:10-31, in v:17, it says '' she is a hard worker, strong and industrious.

4. A submissive woman- we should learn to submit, the bible tells us that, as much as we are strong on one way, we are also weak on another way, we should realize that there is some authority above us and that is from men, many women of the bible submitted and respected the upper hand: we see abigael kneeling before the king, not insulting the husband who is such a pick, Esther requesting for permission before entering the king's most private place and so forth.

I keep thinking and such things and i believe that unless a woman truly captures her purpose in this life, then many lives are going to be lost, we need to stand for our nations, we need to have it all clopped up in our arms, women are created to make right. many things are happening in this world, marriages are broken, young people are losing directions, poverty has eaten the worst in nations, wrong decisions are being made in governments and its too much, why? because many women dont realize what lies in them, Lets honour God, lets heal the world, lets work hard, lets take control because we were created for such for that, for that is our purpose.

The act of positive thinking

Many a times we have had people talking about the mind, the importance of positive thinking, books have been published on ways to renew our mind and also the precious word of God tells us so. when i talk about the mind-thought sector and the internal and external effects that it has on an individual then i really know what am talking about as it is to say. There is this way that a thought acts on you spiritually, emotionally and physically. a positive thought is like a driving fire that burns you up, it either hits you up or beats you down. Before i as an individual got to understand the importance of positive thinking i did really struggle alot, I would wake up in the morning even before i come out of bed and the only thing that i would be thinking about was what are you going to do now venah? there is definately nothing good about you, look at how much behind you are? you are a failure, definately you are, what have you achieved????. And as i kept thinking about this i created a vacuum for the devil to work on me, and he kept reminding me of all the bad stuff that i went through, what people did to me and all that, and i really become angry, mad very mad and sad and i had nothing to look forward to, i didnt feel like waking up, and decided to extend my sleep, i later woke up feeling very tired and all moody and whatever i used to do best on that day it became worse, i went through this circle of misery, till one day when the lord spoke to me about me renewing my mind, about the lies that the devil has put in me to limit me, because he only came to steal, kill and destroy and that am being mean to myself and God who created me as He says that i am worthy before Him and i knew i had to change, it wasnt easy shifting my mind from a U turn to an S turn as it took God's word and prayer and practice, as it got to me i realized that every time i thought good things, i would have this energy and an amazing driving force that would push me to do whatever i was thinking about, For example, when i think about how fearfully and wonderfully made i am, i put my head high, i put on the jacket of confidence and self esteem, i work hard to achieve the good things that God says He will give me, There is a difference between two people who wake up at the same time, one feeling miserable and lost the other feeling confident and worthy, i believe the first person will loose opportunities, collide with other people, do even worse things and miss out on all the good things that life can offer, because as the saying goes we attract who we are and what we think of, while the second person, who feels more confident will work to the best level of what he has, will attract favour and blessings from all the sides, it is all said and done, Positive releases positive results which in turn releases amazing opportunities, some diseases are better healed through our mind than through our money, if only the world would be positive life would be easy for us. as i wind up let me give easy ways to be a better person through positive thinking

                               POSITIVE THINKING

1. Know who you are( The bible tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made from the image of God, we look like God, worthy and favoured and blessed) when you know who you are where you came from then nothing is going to limit you. Knowing who you are is also a practise as you constantly need to remind yourself that you are worthy and loved this way you are going to lock all the weapons of the enemy in your mind.

2. Have a driving force-Think about what you want to achieve and what you want to be and imagine yourself already there this will be a driving force

3. Feed yourself with the right things- our environment plays a big role on us, that includes the people we hang out with, the things we talk about, those things that we feed on, those that get to us are what we need to watch out for, the word of God talks about thinking about good and pleasant things, in phillipines it says whatever is noble, pure............................put your mind on such things.

4. Its all starts with God and ends with God- the bible tells us that there is nothing we can do without the lord, in our own strength we are going to fail, so as you strive to change your mind seek Gods help and read His word constantly

GOD WORKING IN THE VALLEY OF HOPELESSNESS

After a hard day from work, i decided to take my bible the word of God and read it as i usually do, that previous morning i was very sad about so many things that happen in the world, the sufferings and wars and struggles that we as human beings go through and i kept asking myself if God in His mercy seat and throne is going to remember His people. As i was going through my bible filled with so much sadness, God brought me to a very strong and mighty word, i come to think and i know that God spoke to me there and then. He took me to Ezekiel 37:1-14 where God took Ezekiel to a place full of bones that have no life, probably a place that to me and you would look all lost and ended without hope, But that encourages me because God doesn't see things the way we do, He is God supreme over all, the Alpha and Omega. through the verse God goes on to ask Ezekiel if the bones can come back to life verse 3: ''Mortal man, can these bones come back to life?'' Ezekiel a human being like you and i out of human weakness and limitations doesnt know but only God Knows, God orders Him to prophecy to the bones and immediately they change from non-meaty skeletons to meaty as i would call it. Then the Lord orders Ezekiel to prophecy to the bones and they come back to life. In verse 11-14 God says that the people of israel are like the dried bones, they said they are dried up, with no hope, lost and without a future to look forward to. But He goes on to say that He the mighty Lord will remove them from their graves and bring them back to life, He will breath to them again, give them life and a land of their own. This was an encouragement to me, Because many times we go through situations and we feel unworthy and broken, destroyed and without anything to look forward to, But here God tells us that He is and will change everything around Because He is God, it doesnt matter the kind of shame you and i have had to go through, what names we have been given by people, whether we have lost so more than enough be it our spouses, jobs, children, wealth and we are left discouraged and dead. God is able to turn that around, He Has the last word, He will restore and break the life out of us once again, I pray that this might be an encouragement to someone today who feels its over, its never over till God says so, He Has to turn everything around He Has to, He wants to, He needs to Because He Has promised to, I refuse to die in shame, to give up, to let my situations led me to death. He spoke to the dried bones and they lived,why not you and me. He can just trust in Him and like me make a decision to trust in His word Completely.

THE VOICE OF THE LORD IN STORM

Today i am going to emphasize in the book of
PSALMS 29:3-11
The voice of the Lord is heard on the seas, the glorious God thunders, and his voice echoes over the ocean.
The voice of the lord is heard in all its might and majesty.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, even the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes the mountains of Lebanon jump like calves and makes Hermon leap like a young bull.
The voice of the Lord makes the lightining flash, His voice makes the the desert shake; He shakes the desert of Kadesh.
The Lord's voice shakes the oaks and strips the leaves from the trees while everyone in his Temple shouts, ''Glory to God''
The Lord rules over the deep waters;
he rules as king for ever.
The Lord gives strength to its people.

And am like wow what a verse, it struck me with all its might, that God's voice is the anchor of our lives, it says His voice makes mountains jump like calves, mountains signifiying problems, financial problems, sickness, rejection, those things that seem so big before us, things that drain us and confuse us and hit us, what we dont realize is that they are nothing before the king of Glory, HIs authoritative, strong voice can do anything, it doesnt matter the kind of desert that the enemy has thrown us in God is able to speak and to shake that desert or cave and set us free. we need to learn to hear the voice of God and to differentiate it from other voices that only deceive us, God speaks once and He does not need to prove or defend His word, lets trust in God as he speaks.

DEVIL FATHER OF LIES AND MANIPULATION

Have made my observations some self examinations others just from the worldly point of view and i came to my conclusion ''that we need help'' as human beings we need help'; Not just any help but help from above. I was reading the word of God and john 8:44 just struck my eyes., it was a glow and a full blow of openness to me. John clearly tells us that ''The devil is the father of lies and there is no truth in him.
John 10: 10 also speaks about the devil coming to kill, steal and destroy. His work is not for our benefit but for our downfall, He doesn't have us in interest but he is selfish and only wants to use us, and put us down completely. another painful and most devastating thing to watch out comes from revelations 12: 12-18, but i want to really emphasize in verse 12b '' But how terrible for the earth and the sea! for the Devil has come down to you, and he is filled with rage, because he knows that he has only a little time left''. Yes fellows: thats true. He (the devil) knows his destiny. He is destined for hell big time, and he also knows that there is something special about the human race that he wants to wipe off, He cant stand being alone in hell. He cant stand seeing you and i victorious and strong and full of life. Thats why he is deceiving the world(us) to think otherwise, behave otherwise, then die without the full knowledge of the truth of God; which is '' we were made from the image of God, more than conquerors and created for the best. it Hurts me a lot just imagining and seeing what happens in the world. People are killing each other, dying from suicidal actions, certain addictions and so many filthy desires like money and sex and all those other things talked in Galatians and Romans. But i love it where jesus says that ''But I came that you may have life and have it in abundance'' John 10:10. we need the truth, we are tired of manipulation. but we also need to understand that it takes our efforts on knowing whats right for us, above anything else we need to hear what God is telling us not just hearing but obeying it, His solemn purpose is for us to walk in light, to live in happiness without any strongholds in our minds or lives. He never lies, He cant lie because His name is truth and light. We need to challenge the lies of the enemy by aligning our lives with what is true and right. it should come to a point of getting what we really need than what we really want or desire.

TO ALL THE WOMEN

First this is the greatest opportunity for me as a woman, to wish the rest of the women in my country and more so the whole world: Happy international women's day. i celebrate being a woman, i celebrate women, the fallen, the poor, rich, educated, non-educated i celebrate them all and i salute them for being extraordinary in their ordinary environments and using their indented selfs to do undefying, speechless most amazing things on the side of the earth. I know of a woman who was bedridden for God knows all her life, but every day she made sure that her kids came out the best, physically they were healthy, well dressed, well behaved and held this perplexing ego that even in their mother's situation they still did not let that put them down. i would hear them laugh at night, crack jokes and this woman though in her prison bed cell could still manage her kids, with that authoritative but calm voice she managed to install all that she wanted for her kids. Though she died a few years later its still the same for her kids. am here to encourage women never to give up, never to battle out, to stand for what they believe, because they hold families together, society, world at large. They are what the world calls the mothers of nature. without them life will be useless just as God knew without ''her'' the helper of man. it would be impossible for man to manage alone. i salute all women with a lyric from whitney houston's song i look to you. i........... look........to.....you, and when all my strength is gone....... in you i can be strong........ i look to..............you.

knowledge

Just when i thought it was over, i realized i have a long way to go, i needed to make learning an instrumental part of my life, a music that has no end, an interest that never gets exhausted. i am now sure that there people who know better than i, who have made more mistakes than i have made, who thought they were where they wanted to be only to realize that they are not even half way, and who have learning a desire and a process in the course of their life time. am glad to learn from my own mistakes, to learn from other people's mistakes just to avoid repeating the same mistake, to learn from the most sentimental things in life.

True purpose

I was made for a purpose, i was employed in GOd's earthly company, not to complain, murmur, but to work for the betterment of other people, To encourage a disappointed soul, to smile to a frown face, to strengthen a weak knee, to give even if i dont receive, to love even if am not loved, to tolerate even if am too much of hard work. Thats the purpose of living. Knowing that you had to stand for somebody else without having to think about yourself first.
